L D Braithwaite - David Austin English Roses
L D Braithwaite has the brightest crimson coloring of all the English Roses - standing out when viewed across the garden. A relative of Mary Rose and possessing many of that rose's fine qualities, L D Braithwaite produces flowers freely and with remarkable continuity. The blooms open wide and are slightly cupped. It forms a medium-sized, bushy shrub which makes a beautiful addition to a mixed border. The fragrance is light at first and as the flower ages develops a charming Old Rose character.
