First Crush is a modern garden rose with traditional, romantic rose attributes: exceptional fragrance, classic flower form and a beautiful, soft color. The fragrance of First Crush Rose is a complex combination of sweet plum notes, top notes of Champagne infused with the refreshing scent of lemon verbena, and lingering notes of ripe apricot. Overall an exhilarating and enjoyable perfume not only in the garden, but also in cut-flower arrangement and bouquets.

The very full blooms open from dark-pink buds to reveal large, creamy-pink rosettes surrounded by creamy-white outer petals. The plants form medium-sized, bushy mounds, repeatedly producing clusters of blooms throughout the season. First Crush is an excellent choice for rose gardens or for mixed borders as a middle or back of the border shrub and would make a stunning flowering hedge. For cutting gardens, First Crush is an outstanding addition.

Introduced in 2012 by renowned rose-hybridizer Kordes, First Crush is a part the Kordes Parfuma group, which comprises only roses of extraordinary and superlative fragrance. This group of roses also possess exceptional vigor, disease resistance, in addition to the exceptional fragrance.

Beautifully healthy rose plant arrived pruned very nicely and wrapped and protected very well. Unwrapped her, watered well , and placed her in a sunny location. Within a week of receipt, she has put on at least 2 inches of new growth and already has buds. I can’t wait to see her bloom.
